What roles are available?

We offer a wide range of volunteer roles across our services, including but not limited to:

  • Activity Support: Help run arts, cookery, sports or life-skills sessions in our Day Opportunities and community groups.

  • Orchardville Works Support: Assist with packaging, light assembly or quality checks alongside our business enterprise teams.

  • Events & Fundraising: Help with planning, stewarding or running stalls at community events.

  • Administration & Reception: Offer office support, data input or help with communications.

  • Gardening & Outdoor Projects: Support our community growing and conservation activities.

  • Mentoring & Employment Support: Provide buddying or CV/interview practice for participants preparing for work.

If you have a particular skill or idea — tell us! We love volunteers who bring new ideas.

Volunteer Guidance

Training, Support & Safeguarding

All volunteers receive:

  • A full induction and role-specific training;

  • Ongoing supervision and check-ins with a named staff contact; and

  • Clear guidance on safeguarding, confidentiality and health & safety.

We take safeguarding seriously. Depending on the role, an Access NI check and references may be required — we’ll talk you through the process and support you with any paperwork.

We’ll invite you for an informal chat to discuss availability, skills and any checks needed.

If it’s a good fit, you’ll be offered an induction, introductory shift and ongoing support.
