A Day of Celebration
The 2026 Orchardville Awards Day brought together more than 500 participants, families, carers, employers, partners, supporters and invited guests for a truly memorable celebration of achievement, inclusion and community.
The event recognised individuals who have developed new skills, gained greater independence, achieved employment goals and reached important personal milestones through Orchardville’s services and support.
Guests enjoyed an uplifting programme filled with inspiring stories, special recognitions and outstanding performances. A highlight of the day was a moving performance of Hero by the Belfast, Bangor and Lisburn Makaton Choirs. The song was dedicated to Orchardville’s Director of Community Services, Lydia Lynas, in recognition of her remarkable 30 years of service and dedication to the organisation.
The celebrations continued with a performance of Here Comes the Sun by Orchardville’s own band, Johnny & The Seeds. This year’s performance was made even more special with the participation of guest lead guitarist Kyle Stewart, whose contribution was warmly appreciated by everyone in attendance.
Adding plenty of laughter and energy throughout the ceremony were Orchardville’s very own “Ant and Dec” – Jason and Brian – who expertly co-hosted the event, keeping everyone entertained with their humour and enthusiasm.
The day also included:
- A moving certificate and awards presentation ceremony
- Inspirational stories celebrating personal achievement and success
- Live music and performances from Orchardville participants
- A light buffet lunch for guests
- Opportunities to connect with community leaders, partners and supporters
Thank you to everyone who helped make this event special!
